Joint Protection
No more joint problems in slabs on ground
Lesa Armour Joint is a fabricated product for constructing movement joints in slabs on ground.
Lesa Armour Joint enables concrete shrinkage movement in ground slabs to be focused in defined locations. These joints are doweled and armoured with steel.
Lesa Armour Joint has become essential in the design and construction of better, economical floors.

What does it do?
Lesa Armour Joint has three distinct functions.
- It Defines Movement Location.
The full depth sheet-metal form creates a complete break through the slab. This ensures that shrinkage movement will appear at this location.
- It Gives Load Transfer.
Plate dowels are built in, and these give efficient load transfer across the joint.
- It Armours The Joint.
Two steel bars which are anchored into the concrete, one on each side of the joint, provide edge protection from joint spalling.
Economical
Lesa Armour Joint is economical, because it is used at such wide spacing. Sawcut joints, if required, are tied closed by continuous reinforcing and usually do not need dowels. Many steel fibre reinforced floors do not require sawcuts between the movement joints.
